SHOPIFY

Shopify is a leading e-commerce platform that enables businesses to build and manage online stores. My experience with it is practical and varied, spanning multi-national B2B operations, direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, and building new stores from the ground up.

This post shows how I've professionally managed and developed Shopify sites.

The Problem

Businesses require a reliable and scalable platform to manage their online sales. For a large company with multiple international sites, the challenge is maintaining consistency, handling daily operations, and quickly resolving technical issues. For smaller businesses, the challenge is simply getting a professional and functional store online.

How I Used It

My work with Shopify has covered the full spectrum of e-commerce management.

  1. B2B Multi-Store Management (Nimbus Nordic): For about a year, I was the primary person responsible for the company's websites. I managed and maintained 5 different country-specific B2B sites, serving as the go-to person for any Shopify-related questions or problems.

  2. D2C & Startup Experience (Hadashi & Zoma Shop): I have also worked on the established D2C website hadashi.dk and built a new e-commerce store, zoma-shop.com, from scratch for a friend's shoe business.

What This Involved

My hands-on responsibilities in these roles included:

  • Multi-Store Setup & Management: Overseeing the technical health and operation of multiple international storefronts.

  • Day-to-Day Operations: Handling routine product updates, content changes, and ensuring the websites ran smoothly.

  • Theme & Template Customization: Setting up and modifying page templates to meet specific business and design needs.

  • Technical Troubleshooting: Acting as the first line of support for identifying and fixing website bugs or issues.

  • Scheduled Design Refreshes: Systematically updating the look and feel of the sites every two months to keep the brand presentation fresh.

The Result

My work ensured the stable, consistent, and up-to-date operation of business-critical e-commerce websites. At Nimbus Nordic, this meant the international online sales infrastructure was reliable and well-maintained. For the smaller shops, it resulted in a professional online presence capable of driving sales. Across all projects, I became a trusted and capable resource for managing the Shopify platform.
